Just keep blogging, just keep blogging, just keep blogging
So the main reason for me starting this blog is to keep me from going insane while living with 80 insane college students for a year. Yeah I love it, because I know I will always have someone thats got my back, but then again the girl to boy ratio is not completely even so there is bound to be drama! duh duh duhhhhh. Shocker right? Well I think todays post is what Jenna Marbles likes to call a "rant." So let me tell my story, analyze my story, and then come up with some sort of moral or "bull caca" to justify what ever the hell I am questioning.
Once upon a time, there was a girl and a guy, but then that girl had a friend who also liked that guy. Okay, so this line is 100% the cause of all drama that ever occurs in a girls life. For me oh yeah I feel like every week I am either complaining about this happening, or I have another girl coming up to me a trying to justify why she is special and why her "crush" should be sealed off from all other females. To be honest I can't really make fun of these girls because I have had my fair share of being that one "special" girl. The first week when I got to Spain, there was a guy at the study center who I had a major crush on, he was an upper class men, pretty fit, nice looking face, really outgoing, had all the qualities that a girl looks for, and the first weekend we were aloud to finally go out he chose me. He wanted to dance with me at a club, when we got back to our apartment he kept flirting with me, we kissed a little bit, he took me outside and we walked and talked for hours until the sun came out. I felt special, like the one who had ventured into unclaimed territory. After this I went and told one of my friends and her room mate who I had "thought" was my friend and they were very happy for me. That week the upper class men and I hung out, which I really liked. The following monday he disappears, he doesn't acknowledge me, he is rude to me, and he tells me he needs the photos we had taken together deleted. WHAT THE HELL! Well you remember my friends room mate I told you about, she had texting him and let him "in her room" *wink *wink.
After all of this happened, this girl managed to turn my room mate, my best friend, and all of my other friends against me, because she said I was being childish for being upset about what had happened with the boy. After this I went and found a spanish boy, to rebound and this caused even more drama, but to be honest I really don't know why people cared about that, because here spanish boys are like fish, you can catch them anywhere. WHAT TO DO NOW? So not only did I lose my dreamy upper class men, I was alone and had no support on the matter. This has really made me think about our society today.... What happened to girl code? Have we all just turned back into animals and we now have to attack, just to get a good "bang." Where did the civil courtesy go, every girl dreams of having that romantic Nicky Sparks experience, but how is one ever suppose to have that if they have to worry about there closest friends snatching up your Noah Calhoun.
After have taken AP Psychology, I would say the whole cause of this mess is insecurity. Girls today have so many things to be insecure about, thanks to our culture, which makes it harder to find people to trust. Everyone wants to be in the spotlight, it's a natural tendency, but we all have to realize that every show can't go on unless there is someone to work the lights and sound. Everyone's life is their own show, and we have the ability to chose who will be main characters and who will make open and close the curtain. Well, I wouldn't say was the best idea, but if you are a girl who is or was in the same situation as me I would say just to get over the guy and let your friend or friend's room mate receive their karma, don't worry it will come, it may be a while but trust me it will come....and it is well worth the wait.

The First Post ;-p
Okay, everyone knows that the first blog is awkward so I am going to go ahead and get it over with, hehe. So I have been in Spain now for a good month and a half and so far I would say it has been awesome. There has been ups, there has been downs, there has been times where I wanted to give up leave, and there have been times where I have begged my parents to live here. Now I am at the point where I am ready to marry a super hot spanish boy and live here FOREVER.
So let me tell my story before who ever of you reads this gets confused, I am a freshman at Florida State University, at FSU they have this cool thing called the FYA program where you get to pay them a whole bunch of money for them to send you to either London, Florence, Panama, or my home sweet home Spain, for the first year of University. Not only do you get to experience these lovely new cultures, but you also get in-state tuition for the next three years of University, which is a pretty sick deal. For future freshman interested, check yes in the portion of your college app. that asks you if you are interested in studying abroad. So after applied....got in....went through an FBI background check......passport renewal.....lots of doctors appointments.....and a few months of waiting I finally went to orientation where I met all of the lovely people I would be traveling to Spain with, then after another tedious wait of another three months I hopped on a plane and came here!!!
So the first few weeks were what you would expect for an 18 year old who comes to a new country that has a legal drinking age of 18.... lots of sangria, lots of immature drunk college freshman, lots of clubs, lots of spanish boys, lots of DRAMA. Sorry if any parents read this, but this is good because this is how we established ourselves here, and its apart of the culture that many of you send us here to embrace. It's not a bad thing because there will always be a goodie goodie like me to make sure that problems are minimal. My dad actually was with me for the first week and a half, and actually joined in and bought me and my friends a round of Agua de Valencia. So more about my experience so far.... those first few weeks for me was very liberating, I finally got to try all of the stuff I was seeing on TV. I went to a few clubs, met a spanish a boy....starting dating that spanish boy.......dumped that spanish guy......went to the pyrenees......got back together with the spanish boy.......went to Barcelona.......dumped the spanish boy again........made friends with awesome students from Universitat de Valencia.....and occasionally went to class. So yeah life here is pretty simple when you subtract the drama that occurs in a study center with 80 students. Don't worry it's a lot like high school, if you made it through that you should be okay. Sorry for the briefness, but its really hard to sum up these past few weeks in one blog, so I have decided to write one blog every week about my spanish drama, my trips around the world, and my awesome new experiences in Spain!
